What's Biting Today

What's Biting Today is a fishing report site that pairs a verified, evergreen baseline report per lake with four on-demand AI-generated answers about current conditions. The baseline report covers confirmed species, seasonal patterns, regulations, and lake history — written once, verified against official sources. The AI tab answers pull from live weather and water data to answer specific questions: what's biting right now, which lures to throw, where to fish, and the best time of day.

There's no free-text chatbot, no open input. The four topic buttons are fixed. This keeps answers focused and prevents the prompt injection and abuse problems that come with open-ended AI inputs.

AI-generated content is labeled and should be treated as a starting point, not a guarantee. Regulations cited on this site are sourced from official state wildlife agencies and should be verified against current official sources before relying on them.
